Drift Mania Round 1 Results – Congrats to Pat Cyr!
Drift Mania Round 1 happened this last weekend at Autodrome Montmagny in Quebec, and results are in! Privateer Pat Cyr overcame all the big-sponsored drivers to take the win, with American Matt Waldin taking a close 2nd. In the final, Waldin’s engine blew and he crashed into a wall, causing a huge roar from the crowd. Photos and coverage are coming this week!

BFGoodrich Drift Team Set to Kick-Off Drift Mania Canadian Championship Season
Tight turns at high speeds, and tires that seemingly smoke for days are what each BFGoodrich drift team member brings to the table. Ryan Lanteigne, who impressed drift fans last year with his perfect lines and tricked out car, returns for his second season with BFGoodrich. Joining Ryan will be new team members, Carl Nadeau and Claude Poirier.

New G35 Roadster Being Build for Drift Mania Series
Autoworx driver Danny ‘Babu” Bernier is building a Ford Windsor 351-powered G35 Roadster for use in the 2009 Drift Mania championship. Babu purchased the G35 Coupe chassis which his General Tire teammate Marco Santos piloted at the Red Bull Drifting Wold Championships, and has some unique plans for the car. Rhys Millen’s GTO – SOLD! Off to Canada
Rhys Millen’s championship-winning GTO has now been sold, and is being shipped off to Canada. Our source tells us that the car has been purchased by one of BFGoodrich driver Tania Bourbonnais, who has also driven a GTO for the past 2 years in the Drift Mania series. However, Tania‘s car has been plagued with issues, and she decided to reach out for a reliable, proven chassis. Rhys will be campaigning the Hyundai Genesis Coupe in 2009, and former GTO driver Daijiro Yoshihara will be driving for Team Falken next year. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we find out more info.
