Conti Back on the Podium and Win
As the 2014 season is getting ever so close to its final step, Round 7 has just been concluded in France, on the Bordeaux de Merignac Race Track. Back in France after a successful race in 2013, where both local drivers and fans showed their huge interest towards King of Europe, Round 7 was filled with extremely tight battles, and spectacular driving on behalf of the competitors as always.
Qualifying took place late Saturday afternoon, after everyone properly dialed in the track layout, which ultimately is much faster than it might look like. Francesco Conti absolutely crushed the competition by getting 1st place, with an Attack Speed nearing 150kph! Adam Kerenyi came in 2nd, while Benjamin Boulbes was 3rd. Norbert Kovacik was down in 4th, while local talent Romain Soucasse took 5th overall, just a short distance away from Adam Frank and Steve Biaggioni. The race for the championship has just become slightly less difficult with Nicolo Rosso (Nissan S14) being forced to withdraw from the race because of a total engine failure, problem which also occurred to David Infantes (Nissan S13 LS) and Nicolas Maunoir (Nissan Skyline R34 LS). Francesco Conti @Round5 Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries 2014
Francesco Conti had an amazing King of Europe Drift ProSeries season in 2013, winning the champion in both Individual and Team Rankings. He also managed to get an impressive 7 podiums out of 8 events.
Round 5 of the 2014 Season was scheduled to take place on the Touge location in Belko, Hungary. With some incredible driving and determination, Francesco Conti managed to get his first Victory of the year, getting 1st place on the podium by the end of the race.

Press release by Monster Energy King of Europe ProSeries: Adam Frank Records First Win of 2014
It’s amazing to think that King of Europe is already celebrating 10 years of existence, and it’s equally as amazing to think that the 10th anniversary season is already coming to an end, after finishing Round 6 in Tokol Airport this past weekend.
All the top drivers in the ProSeries were aware of the fact that the moment when the King will be crowned is not far, and that they’d have to do their best in order to further secure their positions on top of the rankings. Tokol Airport has been, for many years, an important venue for drifting in Eastern Europe, thanks to the generous surface available and the multiple layouts that
could be configured for competition.
