King of Europe: Joe Hountondji takes leadership in the ProSeries

Round 2 of the Federal Tyres King of Europe series took place under the scorching Spanish sun at the unique street layout for the 2017 season at Valencia Circuit. Having used two layouts on the track in previous years, this custom course provided the opportunity to make the task for the drivers even more challenging.

As the competition got tougher than ever, some of the most intense battles we’ve witnessed along with varied uneven surfaces provided drivers with the ultimate test – leaving the thousands of spectators on the edge of their seats.

It didn’t stop current King of Nations Champion Nicolas Delorme showing that he’s here to fight for the top European spot this year during qualification with a score of 90.75. His incredible runs saw him achieve the highest attack speed at 106km/h along with highest line and show points of the day. Continue reading →

After almost getting a podium finish at Round 3 of the Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries in Greinbach, Austria, Patrick Ritzmann was determined to come back at Round 4 and accomplish his goal, all while stacking up more points in the fight for the 2015 series title.

Although Patrick has driven at Lydden Hill before, the layout prepared by the King of Europe judges for Round 4 was definitely going to be a challenging one for everyone at the event, especially with the slightly unusual positioning of the last clipping point, meant to bring out the best driving possible from all the competitors. Team Cartu Drifting Adam Frank podiums in the UK and takes the lead of the King of Europe Drift ProSeries

Going into Round 4 of the Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries at Lydden Hill in the United Kingdom, team Cartu Drifting driver Adam Frank was bearing a few goals in mind. First of all, get P1 in the qualifying session for the second time at this venue. Then, showing the British fans how he takes on the actual tandem battles, as due to a mechanical failure, he did not manage to start in the Top32 back in 2014. Then, get a second consecutive 2015 podium. And last but not least, take the lead of the ProSeries, and pave the way to his first ever King of Europe Championship Title. After two days of actual competition, a total of almost 3 days spent on the road to and back from Lydden, and another week spent in the workshop to have the car all ready, Adam Frank managed to accomplish all of his goals for the weekend. Conti Back on the Podium and Win

As the 2014 season is getting ever so close to its final step, Round 7 has just been concluded in France, on the Bordeaux de Merignac Race Track. Back in France after a successful race in 2013, where both local drivers and fans showed their huge interest towards King of Europe, Round 7 was filled with extremely tight battles, and spectacular driving on behalf of the competitors as always.

Qualifying took place late Saturday afternoon, after everyone properly dialed in the track layout, which ultimately is much faster than it might look like. Francesco Conti absolutely crushed the competition by getting 1st place, with an Attack Speed nearing 150kph! Adam Kerenyi came in 2nd, while Benjamin Boulbes was 3rd. Norbert Kovacik was down in 4th, while local talent Romain Soucasse took 5th overall, just a short distance away from Adam Frank and Steve Biaggioni. The race for the championship has just become slightly less difficult with Nicolo Rosso (Nissan S14) being forced to withdraw from the race because of a total engine failure, problem which also occurred to David Infantes (Nissan S13 LS) and Nicolas Maunoir (Nissan Skyline R34 LS).
