Yup, Formula Drift Rd.1: Streets of Long Beach will be here before you know it. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary of drifting for you all. 2013 is set  to  be yet another amazing year for the FD record books!  Long Beach always brings the excitement of the first event of the year and with the debut of new competition vehicles, as well as new faces to the Drivers line up. Chris Jeanneret to run Formula D in 2013

Seattle, WA – Chris Jeanneret is proud to announce his commitment to the 2013 Formula Drift series as a rookie, and will be aiming to challenge for the Rookie of the Year title. Over the past year, Chris has focused his efforts on building a program that can be competitive in Formula D as it was at the ProAm level with Evergreen Drift. After earning 3 top-4 finishes in 5 events and 2nd place overall in the 2011 Evergreen Drift series, Jeanneret has spent the last year lining up the support needed for a competitive 2013 program, and is aiming for the top.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. Team Shirt Giveaway.

Coming in to the Formula D finals at Irwindale Speedway Vaughn Gittin Jr. holds the point lead with 25.5 points over second place.  Irwindale has been a very successful track for Vaughn over the years from his win in 2005 at the D1 Grand Prix America vs. Japan Competition to his first Formula D win in 2008. Jr. has given us one of his new team shirts to Giveaway to you our wonderful fans. Vaughn Gittin Jr. wins second consecutive Formula Drift, takes Championship points lead

BALTIMORE, Md. (July 23, 2012) – Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the Monster Energy Falken Tire 2013 Ford Mustang RTR came to Formula Drift Round 5 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington with hopes of another podium finish just as he had done at the previous round in Wall, New Jersey. Not only did Vaughn achieve this goal, but he took the top spot (again) upon the podium and also gained crucial points by qualifying first, allowing him to surge into the 1st place position overall in the Formula Drift Championship standings.
