CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, MARCH 20, 2017 — Coming off a strong 2016 Formula Drift season, in which Vaughn Gittin Jr. finished third in the championship with two victories and four first place qualifiers, RTR Motorsports is pleased to announce a dual car campaign for the 2017 season. Chelsea DeNofa, winner of last year’s Formula Drift Streets of Long Beach, will be joining the team alongside Vaughn in a brand new 2017 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5-D. Vaughn’s car features an updated look breaking away from a traditional theme, instead focusing on his personal style mixed with varying degrees of design: mixed paint, vinyl, gloss, satin, matte, and a few special tricks to achieve a livery that is both simple and complex.

Vaughn Gittin Jr., Ford Mustang RTR Earn Second Formula Drift Win of Season

WALL, NEW JERSEY (June 18, 2016) – Mustang RTR driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. tied a record for the most series wins in Formula Drift history Saturday night in New Jersey when he defeated Drift Alliance teammate Chris Forsberg in the final.

Gittin Jr. qualified fourth on Friday afternoon, earning 91 of 100 possible points. This position earned him an appearance in the Top 32 contest where he outdrove five fellow Formula Drift drivers before earning the top spot on the podium.

BALTIMORE, Md. (October 17, 2013) – The 2013 Formula Drift season has come to an end with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift Team finishing as the highest qualifier overall and 5th place in the Championship. This is the second consecutive year that Vaughn has finished the season as the highest qualifying driver. Vaughn was also awarded the “Ace Driver of the Decade”, a huge accomplishment for the 2010 Champion, as this award means he has won more tandem battles than any other driver in Formula Drift history.
