Nostalgic Sunday: Sam Hubinette’s Chargers – 2007

After spending all day today and part of yesterday with the Mopar Drift Dodge Charger.  I felt it was appropriate to revisit with the chargers for all that had missed it the first time we had it up on the front page or just wanna get a 2nd look at the beast I got to learn the inside and outside of while being at the DUB Car Show representing for Fromula Drift.

Sam Hubinette has been dominant in Formula D, driving 2 different MOPAR vipers to series championships. However, with Mopar’s re-introduction of the Charger,  the powers that be decided that Sam should probably jump into this elongated, heavy chassis and make it into a drift car. Team Mopar®’s Samuel Hübinette to Participate in Ante up for Autism Charity Event

  • Ante up for Autism will be co-hosted by Lance Armstrong and Jenny McCarthy – proceeds will benefit Talk about Curing Autism (TACA)
  • Hübinette provided two items for the auction – a drift ride-along in the Mopar® Dodge Viper SRT10® and an opportunity to be an honorary pit crew member on his Mopar NuFormz Racing Dodge Viper SRT10 team


    • Center Line, Mich    . — Team Mopar®’s two-time Formula Drift champion Samuel Hübinette will join forces with event co-hosts Lance Armstrong and Jenny McCarthy to help raise funds in the fight against autism at the 2nd Annual Ante up for Autism charity event. Featuring a charity poker tournament as well as live and silent auctions, the event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3 at the St. Regis Hotel in Monarch Beach, Calif.

    Center Line, Mich. — Two events separate Team Mopar® driver Samuel Hübinette – current 2008 Formula Drift (FD) points leader – from a third FD championship title. Behind the wheel of his Mopar NuFormz Racing Dodge Viper SRT10®, Hübinette wants to put some distance between his competitors at the Formula Drift Round Six: Locked and Loaded event. The penultimate 2008 FD calendar event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.
