ROUSH Performance Partners with Formula Drifter Justin Pawlak for 2016 Season

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MICH. (March 29, 2016) — Professional Drifter Justin T. Pawlak is ready to steer his way to the finish line during the 2016 Formula Drift series. Teaming with main sponsor ROUSH Performance, Pawlak will drive a 2016 ROUSH Supercharged Mustang with a Ford Performance Aluminator crate engine.

Pawlak, who began his drifting career in 2005, secured first place finishes at Los Angeles NOPI Drift and the first round of 2011 Formula Drift. He has been a consistent top-7 performer in Formula D since 2011.

“I know what it takes to win, but ROUSH Performance’s support in 2016 is a huge advantage in competing for a Formula D title,” said Justin Pawlak, who is based in Covina, California. “I can’t wait to get on the track, push the limit and start shaking down.” Continue reading →

ROUSH will field NASCAR Xfinity, drag, drift and road racing programs for the 2016 season

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MICH. (February 16, 2016) — From Long Beach to Austin to Daytona, race teams backed by ROUSH Performance are ready to tear into this year’s season. ROUSH Performance will sponsor racing efforts that span the gamut from road racing to drag racing to NASCAR to drifting.

“Our company was founded on a passion for performance,” said Jack Roush Jr., race car driver and brand manager for ROUSH Performance. “What better way to showcase this passion and capability than to put ourselves to the test across vastly different forms of racing.”

Ready for NASCAR’S Green Flag
ROUSH Performance teams up with Darrell (Bubba) Wallace Jr. this year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning with the season-opener in Daytona. Wallace, 22, was named to Ebony magazine’s 2015 Power 100 and listed in Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30 Sports list in 2014. 

In his Xfinity Series rookie season, Wallace drove his Ford Mustang to a seventh-place finish in the point standings. “It’s all about execution this year,” Wallace said. “We will work hard and be sure to put ourselves in position each and every weekend.”

Pawlak to Push Drifting’s Limits
Justin Pawlak will fly the ROUSH Performance flag in drifting’s Formula D series. Pawlak is counting on his aggressive but smooth driving style to put him at the top this season, which opens in Long Beach on April 8.

Ford Mustang Teams Gear Up for Final Fight of 2014 Formula DRIFT Season at Irwindale Speedway

• Along with former champion Gittin Jr., past winner and Mustang driver Justin Pawlak also competing

• Ford will announce “Drift with Ford” sweepstakes winner of custom EcoBoost®-powered Fiesta ST after final 2014 Formula DRIFT event

Long Beach, Calif. – September 23, 2014 – With only one race left in the 2014 Formula DRIFT season, Ford Motor Company heads to Irwindale Speedway in California looking to finish strong in the season finale there. Vaughn Gittin Jr., in third place, and Justin Pawlak, in seventh, will compete in customized Ford Mustangs Oct. 10-11, in the final fight of the seven-event series.

“I’m really pumped to be heading into the final fight of 2014 at Irwindale Speedway,” said Gittin Jr. “While we are no longer battling for the championship, we plan to hold our ground and take third overall in the series.”

“This is something I’m really excited about, given the challenges we had to overcome this season,” he added. “The progression of drifting never ceases to amaze me, and this year has been insane with regard to the level of competition. Our Ford Mustang RTR has been fully up to the task and continues to be a performance bar-setting machine, round after round. We are looking forward to fighting hard and ending the season on the top step.”
