Chat with Matt Field – Formula Drift Driver – by:Lone Star Drift
This is just a little chat with Matt Field. I am doing some little chats lately with interesting drifters, who have been around the scene and done interesting things. I spent a week with Matt in the UAE, and chatted a lot. I was unaware that he had been drifting in D1GP China, so I figured I would share a small story about his experiences there. Basically this is a little series of videos I am doing to humanize drivers a bit and show them in a super laid back environment and expose them to the viewers. When you sit down and do a real interview, mic a person up, light them, etc you loose the spontaneity of the moment. But if we are just hanging out, and I whip out my iPhone, there is such a lower barrier between the people conversing, and everything feels more natural. I should have chatted with him about the style he brings to drifting, as he has a unique and colorful way he does things. His car is almost a show car in a way.
