VAUGHN GITTIN JR. DEBUTING PURPOSE-BUILT CLASSIC FORD BRONCO RACE TRUCK AT SEMA SHOW
JOPPA, MARYLAND, OCTOBER 31, 2016 — Coming off of an unprecedented top 10 finish in his first ever running at the 2015 King of the Hammers off-road race—becoming the first crossover driver ever to do so—Drift Champion and Professional Fun-Haver, Vaughn Gittin Jr., will compete in the February 2017 event with a Jimmy’s 4×4 Ford Bronco. Vaughn will race in the pro ‘4500: Rubicon Express Modified Class’ of the Ultra 4 Racing series in partnership with New Bright R/C, who will produce radio-controlled toy versions of #Brocky that will be available for sale at major retailers late 2017.
MATT FIELD AND DAI YOSHIHARA WIN FIRST AND SECOND PLACE WITH TEAM FALKEN AT 2016 FORMULA D IN IRWINDALE, CALIFORNIA
IRWINDALE, CA – Team Falken drivers Matt Field and Dai Yoshihara took the top spots on the podium at The Irwindale Event Center in the eighth round of the 2016 Formula Drift Championship. This marks Field’s second consecutive first-place win and Falken’s third consecutive event wins, following Field’s first-place win at Texas Motor Speedway in September and Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis’ win at Evergeen Speedway in August. This is also Falken’s fourth consecutive visit to the podium this season, allowing the tire brand to win the Tire Manufacturer Championship for the 2016 season.
“The Falken team couldn’t be more excited for Field and Yoshihara,” said Steve Wong, Supervisor, Motorsports and Events for Falken. “We knew our drivers and tires had the skills and talent to take Falken to the top this season. With Matt and Dai’s wins, and our fourth straight trip to the podium, we are so happy to have won the Tire Manufacturer Championship for this season.”

Hankook Tire Driver Chris Forsberg Wins Formula Drift Championship for Third Time
Nashville, TENN. – October 10, 2016 – Hankook Tire driver Chris Forsberg won his third career Formula Drift Championship following this past weekend’s final round in front of a sold out crowd at Irwindale Speedway. The final event of the season caps a historic run for Forsberg who reached the podium six out of the eight events this season.

Long Beach, Calif. – October 8, 2016 – The O’Reilly Auto Parts “Title Fight” sponsored by Gumout at the Formula DRIFT Championship presented by BlackVue Dash Cameras completed the 2016 Pro Championship season in dramatic fashion with Matt Field in the Gears of War 4 / Falken / Driftcave Motorsports Nissan 240 taking the event victory, while Chris Forsberg, in the NOS Energy Drink / Hankook Nissan 370Z is crowned both the Pro Champion and World Champion.
Irwindale Speedway, also known as the “House of Drift,” hosted the sold out event. Over 600,000 global viewers tuned in to watch the event unfold via the Livestream.

Formula DRIFT Pro Driver Matt Field to Unveil New Gears of War 4 Livery at Round 8: Title Fight This Weekend
Matt Field will unveil a new Gears of War 4 livery in action in his Nissan 240SX this weekend during the Formula DRIFT finale at Irwindale Speedway. Gears of War 4 signage will adorn the track and a commercial will play on the Jumbotron during the live event.
Fans can get an early look at the new livery, which Matt Field will reveal on the Formula DRIFT Instagram (@formulad) during his Instagram takeover from now until October 6.
Xbox will also offer a bonus contingency prize of an Xbox One S console and $2500 to the highest-placing Formula DRIFT driver with a Gears of War 4 decal on their vehicle. Continue reading
