Well the 2015 Formula D season has finally Kicked off down on the Streets of Long Beach and boy is it looking like it will be a season full of excitement. It was such a blast seeing all the new builds as well as new drivers. And over all just getting back to Drifting it self.
Long Beach, Calif. September 3, 2014 Scion presents Formula DRIFT Canada presented by Falken entered Autodrome St. Eustache for the first time to a record-breaking drift crowd. Daigo Saito takes the inaugural competition victory.
Formula DRIFT continued global expansion into Canada holding the first ever Scion presents Formula DRIFT Canada presented by Falken event at Autodrome St. Eustache this past weekend.
The competition had twenty-one entries. The Top 16 was composed of 8 FD Pros from USA, Japan, Norway, Hong Kong and Ireland and 8 Canadian regulars.
The enthusiasm for drifting in Canada has always been strong and we had looked at Canada for sometime but without the right combination of key partners such as Autodrome St. Eustache we could not have felt confident to crossing the border, said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “We have all been blown away by the level of driving and energy that the fans brought the entire weekend. This was one of, if not the biggest drifting competition ever held in Canada.

Long Beach, Calif. May 31, 2014 Formula DRIFT entered Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time for Round 3: Miami Heat. Vaughn Gittin, Jr. in the Monster Energy / Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR takes his second consecutive victory.
Round 3: Miami Heat entered Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time. The Pro Championship competition highlighted a jam-packed weekend of activities that included the kick-off of the PRO 2 Series competition and Offset Kings car show.
Homestead-Miami Speedway provided a great new venue for our Championship, says Jim Liaw, President of Formula DRIFT. The increasingly bigger fan base was treated to some impressive driving all weekend with the first event PRO 2 Series competition and Round 3 of the Pro Championship.

Rd.1 is in the books and boy was it an amazing round as always. The first event of the year is always one with much anticipation and excitement, from drivers showing of their new rides and sponsors for the year to just plain new faces in the FD series. The excitement started early on during media day the Tuesday before the event.
