Round 3: Invasion at Palm Beach International Raceway Results; Michael Essa Takes the Victory
Long Beach, Calif. June 1, 2013 Formula DRIFT presented by GoPro returned to Palm Beach International Raceway for Round 3: Invasion. Michael Essa in the GSR Autosport / Yokohama Tire BMW M3 takes the victory and moves into third place overall in the standings.
Round 3: Invasion returned for the third consecutive season to South Florida to a capacity crowd. The fans were treated to exciting on-track action intermingled with the Slammed Society car show and display of cars from the Targa Trophy.

Yokohama Tire Corporation Slides into Action with 2013 Drifting Program
FULLERTON, CA (March 5, 2013) – Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) announced today it will participate as a Formula Drift tire supplier for the second consecutive year and will partner with three teams for the 2013 season. Matt Johnson, YTC performance marketing supervisor, said drivers will run on ADVAN Neova® AD08 and S.drive® tires during the seven-event series, which starts April 12-13 at the Long Beach Grand Prix.

Today we are very happy to bring you and little Q&A session with 2012 Just Drift Top Drift Champion Luke Pakula.
Everything Drift: When did you first get into drifting and how did you find out about it? And what was your first Drift car?
Luke: I have been around a car scene since I was 15 (early 2000). So naturally I came across drifting once it first started catching people’s attention in the early 2004 on the streets of Chicago, where I grew up. In 2006 I moved out to California for a temporary get away. Shortly after the move I went to check out a local drift event, run by an organization called Just Drift.
Not even 2 weeks later after the event I went out and bought my first RWD car. 1989 Nissan 240sx hatchback, it was a bucket with only one intention in mind, drifting!
FD Rd 5 Qualifying – Seattle bringing rain
Going to sleep Thursday night I don’t think anyone expected rain. I’m sure most people woke up Friday morning to a wet and rainy surprise, but by the time I got to the track it finally stopped raining. Most people took it easy except Daigo Saito, he went all out as usual.
