Long Beach, Calif. March 4, 2014- Formula DRIFT has announced the return of all 4 Major Tire Partners; Achilles, Falken, Hankook and Nitto and returning Tire Suppliers; Kenda, Maxxis and Yokohama. In addition, GT Radial signs on as a new Tire Supplier for the 2014 season.
Formula DRIFT continues to be the proving grounds for tire manufacturers. Yokohama Tire Corporation Slides into Action with 2013 Drifting Program
FULLERTON, CA (March 5, 2013) – Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) announced today it will participate as a Formula Drift tire supplier for the second consecutive year and will partner with three teams for the 2013 season. Matt Johnson, YTC performance marketing supervisor, said drivers will run on ADVAN Neova® AD08 and S.drive® tires during the seven-event series, which starts April 12-13 at the Long Beach Grand Prix.
Taniguchi’s updated GS430 Aristo Drift Car
So our original post had some improper information – that’s what we get for trusting our translation!! This car pictures is Taniguchi’s former Aristo car with the new Vertex GS430 front end conversion. The sticker scheme includes Yokohama and the rest of NOB’s sponsors. This is still the old 2JZ-powered Aristo that was driven here in the US in 2005 and 2006 in demo’s, and is now back in Japan doing MSC demo’s.
