Vaughn Gittin Jr. fights his way to fourth place at Evergreen Speedway
Vaughn Gittin Jr. arrived at Formula Drift Round 5 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington this past weekend ready to rock in his 2010 Falken Tire Ford Mustang. After an unexpected incident in the final four which led him to tap Eric O’Sullivan’s car and become DQ’ed, he battled Tyler McQuarrie in the consolation round only to be beaten by his Falken Tire teammate. Vaughn finished the weekend just inches outside the podium in fourth place.
During Thursday’s practice, Vaughn and the Autosport Dynamics crew made some minor adjustments to the Mustang to get the proper setup for the track. Seattle news anchor Mark Wright from “Q13 Fox News this Morning” went for a ride in Vaughn’s passenger seat. The clip aired twice during Friday morning’s news. Continue reading

Matt Waldin Wins DMCC Round 3 in the Tuner Icons/Mishimoto 350z and Now Leads the Points Chase
West Chester, PA (PRWEB) – Round 3 of the Drift Mania Canadian Drift Series was an adventure as always for the Drift Brigade team, but ends on a high note as Matt Waldin takes first place and now leads the series in overall points.
Mishimoto has joined as an additional title sponsor and has stepped up in a big way to support the team for the remainder of the season. So after adding tons of Mishimoto parts and logos to Matt’s 350z and Damien’s 240sx, the Drift Brigade team set course for Canadian soil early on July 24th. The long trip landed an exhausted team in Saint Croix, 30 minutes outside of Quebec City. The residents of this quiet French Canadian city did not know what they were in for.

Redondo Beach CA, July 24, 2009 – PM Racing, and its driver Patrick Mordaunt were heading into round four of the Formula Drift Championships on a mission. The tagline,“All In” for this Las Vegas hosted event. Couldn’t be truer for the determined PM Racing team. After spinning out, in a fearsome one more time battle with veteran Taka Aono in Rd. 3 at New Jersey. Mordaunt and his team were optimistic about their return to “Sin City” Optimism would later turn to frustration, as the team ran into a major technical issue. With the PM Racing/Toyo Tires/Wrecked Magazine Nissan S14. While the team was preparing the car to hit the track for its practice session on Thursday, they had discovered that they were having some issues with the cars differential. Continue reading
