After a successful Round 2 there was very little work required bar a few cosmetic touch ups. Annoyingly when loading up I noticed that one of my new Zestino 07RS Gredge tyres was losing air from the bead of the wheel. Thankfully our very own Fast and Furious Live driver Jodie Rasburn lent me her car to pop to local tyre shop and this was resolved in no time.
Round 3 of 2018 HEL Performance Driftcup season saw us return to Rockingham Motor Speedway for the second time this year.
After a difficult start to the season in Round 1, I had lots of repairs to do. The crash had caused significant damage to the front end. I only had 1.5 weeks to get the car prepared for the next practice session. I worked on the car every night and all weekend, finishing it the night before.
Round 2 of Driftcup 2018 saw us return to the Three Sisters Race Circuit in Wigan for the first time in a couple of years, and how I’ve missed this track!
Ahead of the season there was time for the usual pre-season full nut and bolt inspection and this year I decided to re-spray the car in the team colour and the roof in my signature yellow. The mechanical improvements were done on an ongoing basis throughout last season and the car was well setup by the end of the season with little need for improvement.
Martyn Giles is another of the drivers that we are following this season in the HEL Performance Driftcup season, he is a third year driver with his Nissan S14.
